How far along: 11 weeks exactly (every Tuesday is a new week).
Total weight gain/loss: I'm sorry but the "loss" part kills me in this question every time. I know it happens with some women but I cannot fathom. I cannot. I haven't been weighed in a week (I have always refused to keep a scale at our house and so the doctor's office is the only place I see how much I weigh) but at that time I had gained 12 pounds.
(This fourth time around I have just accepted the fact that I gain weight quickly and there's nothing I can do about it. It tapers off by the third trimester, but until then bring on the Chubby Face.)
Maternity clothes: I have broken out a couple maternity pants. If I had to squeeze into a regular pair of jeans one more day, something was going to be harmed. And it was probably going to be the jeans.
Sleep: Not so good. A lot of nights I dread going to bed because that's when my nausea is the worst (although motion sickness bands have helped some). I also get up 4-5 times a night to go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: I'm not sure. I continue to have a lot of peace which is amazing to me and a testament to prayer. So those are good moments.
Food cravings: Hamburgers, milkshakes, Mexican food, gummy bears.
Food aversions: Anything that has a strong smell.
Gender: Don't know.
Labor signs: No, thank goodness.
Pregnancy symptoms: Sickness, extreme tiredness, moodiness, popped belly.
What I miss: Honestly, even though I don't like being sick and tired I am just so thankful to have life in me. It wouldn't be accurate to say I don't miss anything, but I definitely don't miss it enough to not want to be exactly where I'm at.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out what we're having and holding him/her in my arms.
Milestones: Breaking out the maternity clothes.
My very dear friend, Meghan, from MDK Photography took these pictures of me this week. I wasn't technically 11 weeks in them (2 days away) but it was close enough. She does such a great job. Thanks, Meghan!
|For some reason I look MUCH farther along than 11 weeks in this picture but I think it's a combination of my stance, sticking out my belly, and the flowy white shirt.|
